Sewing Saga

This weekend we completed our proof of concept module mounting scheme. Elastic pockets are sewn onto a flexible cotton glove to house components such as the haptic and Peltier modules. This approach enables design and locational flexibility to mount different-sized modules as the electronic schemes change. A second cotton glove for a sleek final product can cover the inner glove with the attached modules. The proof of concept was completed using 3d printed plastic analogues of the actual modules, as shown below. A special thanks to Heather Tanen for her consultation and sewing assistance.
